Betty Wood, 90, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, just two days shy of her 91st birthday. Born on November 29, 1934, Betty lived a long, full life marked by love, resilience, and deep devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her beloved children Kathy, Butch, and Marty. Though she endured many losses throughout her life, Betty’s strength and unwavering spirit remained an inspiration to all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her daughter Patty and Howard Sloan, who lovingly cared for her and remained by her side. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Michelle and Adam Travis; Katelyn and Marcus Peworchik; Chris Wood; and Jessica and Kirk Metz. Betty was blessed with great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Johnathan, Dylan, Wade, Sloan, Zak, Addie, Alex K., Isaiah, Alex M., and Wyatt.

Betty will be remembered for her warm heart, her quiet strength, and the deep love she held for her family. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in the lives of those she touched.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
