Bill C. Turner

Turner, Bill C. Age 72, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Troy, PA on August 16, 1950 to the late Constan B. and Dorothy Turner. Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Albert and John Turner, mother and father- in-law, Margaret and Melvin VanSickle Sr. and brother-in-law, Melvin VanSickle Jr. He is survived by his wife, Linda (VanSickle) Turner; son, Billy Jack Turner; daughter, Marie (James) Rice; grandchildren, Katelyn Rice, Dustin Turner, Angela Rice, Tony Turner, Hunter Rice, Willow Turner, Nate Turner and Darin Turner; brothers, Pete, William, Donald and Richard Turner; sisters, Susie Bardo, Mary Davis, Carol Turner and Tina Turner; brothers-in-law, Vernon and Arthur VanSickle; sisters-in-law, Marion Mahood, Barb Rorick and Caroline Benjamin; along with several nieces, nephews and close friends. Bill retired from the Elmira City School District after 20 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, building race cars and being at the track and also his trips to Darien Lake. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 12th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services for Bill will take place there on Monday, March 13th at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
