Age 74 passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bobby was born on March 6, 1951in Eclectic, Alabama. He was well known for his humor and good cooking skills, he loved to throw it down in the kitchen. He was a consistent hard worker and was an Army veteran. He was a dad to everyone but an excellent father and family man. He was the Jack of all trades as he would say. He was predeceased by his mother Lucy Mae Henderson and brothers, Willie (Fred) Henderson, Harvey Lee Henderson and Joe Henderson. He is survived by his sister, Lillie Mae Crawford; his children, Kimberly (Jamar) Brooks, Angela Henderson, Ashley(Jerry) Henderson- Ware, Bobbie Griffin, Yolanda (Stefahn) Jasper, Carmella T. Henderson and Rodrikus (Deniquia) Dunn; his Grandchildren, Raheem, Zaeon, Keyondra, Joanna, Chiquita, Yaco, My'esha, Ashley, Alexis, Kemon, Stacey, Jaylen, Jakhy, Jamauri, Mason, Carson, Xavier, Jervonn and Noah; a host of great grandkids, nieces, and nephews. He shared a special bond with his great grandson/best friend Jeremiah, the one who invented Mike. He also had a great bond with his longtime friends Kenny and Roosevelt Johnson. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, November 17th from 11 am to 12 pm at the Monumental Baptist Church, 1009 Maple Ave., Elmira. Funeral services for Bobby will take place there at 12 pm with Pastor Corey Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors.
