Charlotte A. Bahantka

Charlotte Elston Bahantka passed away in the early morning of August 2, 2025, in Elmira, New York after a brief and sudden illness. She was 84. Born on July 30, 1941, Charlotte lived a life marked by resilience and grace. Her greatest joy was her six children, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren who all adored her. She loved creating. She sewed, did ceramics, scrapbooked and made her own greeting cards. She was an avid gardener and was out weeding the week prior to her passing. Charlotte also cared for multiple indoor plants which we hope will continue to thrive in their new homes. Mom loved all kinds of music and instilled that love in her children. She and Dad were well known for being amazing dancers and we’re so lucky we were able to watch them dance. Christmas was HER HOLIDAY and every inch of her home was decorated including her multiple Christmas trees. Many decorations she made herself. Charlotte was pre deceased by her husband Francis and is survived by her children Scott, Maureen, John (Mary Rae), Kathleen (Greg), Amy (Mike) and Tim (Marlea) as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private graveside service for family will be held at a later date. We will always adore you Mom and will miss you every single day.
