Clara M. Staples

Staples, Clara M. Age 88, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1933 in Elmira, NY to the late Willis and Alice (Lowman) Thomas. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Staples, daughter, Linda Staples and sister, Eleanor Warrick. She is survived by her son, Roger Staples; grandchildren, Kristen (Rick) Dean, Roger (Kerry) Staples Jr, Cory Collins and Eric Collins and great-grandchildren, Landon, Mason, Preston and Hudson. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 24th from 12 to 1 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there at 1 pm. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Scotchtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Clara’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
