Clifford J. Kress Sr.

Kress, Clifford J. Sr. Age 86, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on February 3, 1935 to the late Jesse and Martha (Decker) Kress. Clifford was predeceased by his son, Douglas Hubbard, brother, Thomas Kress and sister, Norma Jean Shires. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Viva Kress; children, Marietta (Dawn) Kress, Kim Kress, Clifford Kress Jr. and Deanna (Lauren) Kress; sister, Sue Borden; grandchildren, Clifford Kress III, Nicole Kress, Erika Kress and Evan Paluch; many great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Clifford was a veteran of the US Navy and he received the National Defense Service Medal during the Korean War. Clifford was an avid NASCAR and NY Giants Fan. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 19th from 11 am to 1 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there at 1 pm with Pastor Justin Coffin officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors.
