Daniel J. Simons

Daniel J. Simons Age 70, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Daniel was born on May 17, 1955 in Elmira, son of Robert and Shirley (Searle) Simons. Daniel served our country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He loved traveling, especially with James E. Strates Shows-Carnival Midway. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Card; daughters, Shannon Lynch, Danielle Shaw and Julia Simons; sons, Jason and Daniel Jr. Simons; sister, Melissa Trumbo; brothers, William, Robert and Dale Simons; many grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Daniel was predeceased by his father, Robert Simons. Services will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Breesport Baptist Church, 1811 N Chemung Rd Breesport, NY 14816 at 12 pm with Pastor Douglas Foreman officiating. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery at 3 pm with military honors.
