David A. Sr. Pierson

PIERSON, David A. Sr. Age 88, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Friday, October 26, 2018. David was born in Elmira on July 6, 1930, son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Garvey) Pierson, also predeceased by his daughter, Susan Beth. David is survived by his wife of 66 years, Althea “June” Pierson; daughters, Becky (Patrick) Brooks and Tammy (Frank) Zywicki; sons, David Jr. (Kathy), Rick, Jamey, Jeffery (Karen) and Thomas Pierson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Havey; several nieces and nephews; dog, Snowball and cat, Tag-a-long. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, October 30th from 12 to 2 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. Family would like to thank the CareFirst nurses and staff for the exceptional care provided to David.
