Debra J. Brown

Debra Joyce Brown, Age 68, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 18, 2023. Debra was born on July 17, 1955 on Long Island, NY. Her main mission in life was to speak truth and justice. Debra for many years worked with CHOW and Friendship Donations to help facilitate and run various food pantries in her local area. Anyone who met Debra would see the passion she had not only for life, but for Jesus. She would spread the love of Christ to all who would listen, and help anyone to seek him. She was predeceased by her parents, Gustav and Lesley, as well as her husband Chester. She is survived by her son, Josh (AmberKyria); Daughters, Eunice, Michelle, and Rachel (Carter); her Granddaughters, Kattelyn (Chris) and Zipporah; grandson, King; great grandchild, KJ. Other than her Children and grandchildren, Debra loved her dog Zoey more than words can say. Debra was lucky to have Zoey travel the path on to God with her. A celebration of her life will be held this Thursday, July 27th at 6pm at Southern Tier Church of Christ on 351 E. Thurston St., Elmira, NY 14901.
