Derek M. Nichols

Nichols, Derek M. Age 39, of Elmira, NY, passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Nichols, paternal grandfather, Harold Nichols, maternal grandmother, Lois Coble and step-father, Dominick Milone. Derek is survived by his mother, Michelle “Mitzi” Milone of Elmira; sister, Desiree (William) Burleson of Watkins Glen; daughter, Noelle Nichols and her mother, Valerie Baker both of Horseheads; grandmother, Joanne Nichols of Elmira; nephew, Camden Shaffer of Watkins Glen; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Derek always took care of his family and friends. He was a people person and always had a smile on his face. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bill and the NY Yankees. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life for Derek on Saturday, July 31st at the VFW on Keefe Street starting at 1 p.m. with a balloon release at 3:30 p.m.
