Donald Burlew

BURLEW-(Titsworth), Donald Age 96, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Donald was born in Elmira, NY on June 19, 1927. He was predeceased by his parents, Boyd Sr. and Ada Titsworth, sisters, Mary Kenyon, Dora Davenport and Dorothy Lawson, brothers, Herman, Ernest, Edward and Boyd Jr. Titsworth. wife, Dorothy Goff in 2008 and son, Andrew Rumsmoke. Donald served in the US Army during WWII and retired from Westinghouse after many years of service. Donald loved to bowl, play baseball and dance. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Rae McDermott Burlew; step-son, Charles (Jan) Rumsmoke; step-daughter, Helen Spaulding; grandchildren, Mike and Marshall Spaulding and Shelly (Josh) Black; great grandson,Wilder; step-children, David (Melody) McDermott, Lisa Gaboriault and Cheryl Logue; granddaughter, Chelsea McDermott; step-great grandchildren, Page, Ricky, Jason and Bridget Spaulding, Amber (Jr) Sapp, Scotty Logue; many nieces and nephews; most faithful companion, “Snuggles" his furbaby. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, October 20, 2023 from 12 pm to 1pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1pm with Chaplin, Roger Behrens officiating. Interment will take place at 3pm with military honors in Woodlawn National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Donald to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
