DEPEW, Doris H. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris "Granny" "Dode" Depew 94 years young on 10/6/2018. Best known for her strength, stubbornness & undeniable love for her family, she lived her life on her own terms until the very end. Predeceased by her parents, brothers & sisters, husband Clifford Georgia, and daughter Kay Georgia, she leaves behind her sister Gloria "Jean" Calderone, daughter Ruth (Cliff) Hornketh, Grandchildren Cliff Brown (Christy), Michelle (Don) Shipley, Mike (Tina) Brown, Tracy Pearson, along with all of her adored (and always fretted over) Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, nieces & nephews, cousins and extraordinary friends Evelyn Taylor and Vern Brown. In her own words " I have lived a long life & a good life, I am ready" A special thank you to all of the people that have sent thoughts & prayers for her and helped her to remain home surrounded by love. We welcome family and friends to celebrate her life with us at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home on Wednesday October 10th from 12-1pm. A remembrance service will begin at 1pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity of your choice in her honor.
