VIELE, Douglas E. Age 78, of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Douglas was born in Elmira on July 16, 1944, son of the late John and Melissa (Bellows) Viele. Douglas retired from Hardinge Bros., after many years of service. He is survived by his wife of 57 wonderful years, Marilynn; daughter, Linda (David) Sawyer; son, David (Anna) Viele; grandchildren, Daulton, Connor, Autumn, Hunter, Brittney and David. Douglas wishes were for no service to be held. Arrangements are with James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
