NELSON, Edward J. A loving, kind, honest, decent, gentle soul peacefully left this earth after a brief illness on December 12, 2021 and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ed was born April 24, 1953. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John S. Cram and Inza M. Porter Tunnicliff Cram, adoptive parents, Carl J. Nelson and Patricia A. Tunnicliff Nelson Jones, His step-father, William Jones, his biological father, Ronald Tunnicliff, sister, Debbie, along with several other family members. Ed is survived by his loving wife and partner of 50 years, Enola G. (Pedro) Nelson. Also survived by his pride and joy, his children, Lynzie and Andrew (Vonnie). Ed was a proud grandfather of Levi and Amelia. He is also survived by his sister, Kathi (Mike) Mansfield and their children, TJ and Nicole, aunts, uncles, half-siblings, step-siblings and cousins. Ed graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in Elmira Heights, NY in 1971. He worked at the KFC in the Heights and the Tom Sawyer Motor Inn, where he and Enola met. Ed was self employed and a talented jack-of-all trades. He was a self- taught silversmith who crafted thousands of pieces of silver and gemstone jewelry. He was a beekeeper and an antique dealer. Truly a very unique person. Ed enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved daily golfing with Enola at Pinecroft and riding his motorcycle with the love of his life on the back of it. He also loved riding his bike with his IA Brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family. Arrangements were assisted through the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
