Elayne M. Everett

Everett, Elayne M. Our beloved mother and daughter Elayne, age 57, of Elmira, NY, passed into a world where life has no time and where comfort and care with Jesus is endless…… Elayne’s body is now peacefully at rest and with us knowing that she is in God’s hands for eternity. Elayne will be laid to rest in the Sly plot in Woodlawn Cemetery, where the Sly and Berthods descendants are. Elayne is survived by her close friend, Allen Davies, who was very good to her. Children, Brooklyn (Charles) Ackerson, William (Lissa) Everett, Miriah (Keegan) Everett-Brown and Ian (Courtney) Everett; grandchildren, Charles, Connor, and Nevaeh, Gracie, William Jr., Jillian. Nicky, Kaelyn, Keegan Jr., McKenna and Adrianne; mother and step-father, Betty and Edwin Austin; sisters, Kathleen Orfitelli and Barbara Norris; several nieces and nephews. Elayne was predeceased by her father, Gordon L. Norris, brothers, Gordon S. Norris and Scott Austin, baby sister, Rose Mary Norris. Elayne had many friends and cousins that are too many to mention. She had a heart of gold and would give to anyone in need. We will miss her to the moon and back. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Edward Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to William Everett at 1011 McHenry St., Elmira, NY 14904 in regards to help offset funeral expenses.
