Ellen N. Sexton

Sexton, Ellen N. Age 71, of Elmira, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on June 5, 1950 in Elmira, NY to the late Samuel and Virginia (Chesney) Batrony Sr. She was predeceased by her sister, Joy Ann Batrony and granddaughter, Mariah Sexton. Ellen is survived by her children, Naomi Brown of Rome, NY, Fred Sexton III of Elmira, Debbie (Chris) Parshall of Wellsburg, Michael (Aleah) Sexton of Elmira, Norma (Abraham) Israel of Dania Beach, FL and bonus daughter, Tammy Heath of Elmira; siblings, Martin (Linda) Chesney Jr., Margaret (Dwayne) Wheelock, Samuel Batrony Jr., Norene (Richard) Wandell, Terry (Barbara) Batrony, David (Eileen) Batrony and Joy Batrony; 21 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with one on the way and numerous bonus grandchildren; best friend, Marie Storch of Elmira and her family at Meals on Wheels; along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 28th from 11 am to 1 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there at 1 pm with Rev. Caranell Parks officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or the City of Light Church. MASKS are required for all that attend.
