Ernest L. Shaut

SHAUT, Ernest, L. Age 80, of Caton, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022. Ernest was born in Bath, NY on December 23, 1941, son of the late Ward and Lenora (Lyke) Shaut. Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; children, Corrina Sullwood, Leigh Gaston and Sara Palmer; stepchildren, William (Michele) Dickinson, Robert (Marie) Dickinson and Marcia Dickinson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, David (Kathy) Shaut of Colorado and William (Linda) Shaut of Painted Post, NY; favorite companion “Bandit”. Ernest was employed in retail all of his adult life. He enjoyed discussing politics with anyone who would listen. Some of his greatest loves were working outside, maintaining his home and property. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
