Francis Sr. Smith

SMITH, Francis E. Sr. Age 74, of Pine Valley, NY passed away on May 31, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Francis was born in Elmira on December 21, 1942, son of the late Wilber and Cecelia (Mehalke) Smith. Francis was also predeceased by his brother, Albert and sister, Maryann. Francis is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Christine; sons, James, John Paul, Francis Jr and Stacey; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Caroline, brothers, John “Jack” and Robert; many nieces and nephews. It was Francis’s wish that there will be no services held for him. There will be a remembrance gathering at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
