Gary W. Smith

Smith, Gary W. Age 69, of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born in Elmira, NY on March 6, 1953. Gary was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Smith. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Smith; daughters, Victoria (Jesse) Grover and Jennifer (Bill) Evans; brothers, Larry (Ann) Smith and Cary Smith; grandchildren, Morgan Evans, Olivia Evans, Emily Evans, Katie Grover and Natalie Grover; along with 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Gary retired from Hardinge after many years of service. He was an avid Yankees fan and loved to go to Tioga Downs and other casinos. A memorial service for Gary will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral home.
