George A. Phillips

George A. Phillips, age 85, of Elmira Heights, NY passed away on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. George was born in Grampian, PA, son of the late Henry and Kathryn (Schubert) Phillips. George was predeceased by his sisters, Barbara Phillips and Mary (Phillips) Smeal and her husband Bill Smeal. George was employed by Corning Inc. in Riverside, NY for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a friend of nature. George is survived by his wife of 57 years Diana (Clapsaddle) Phillips, daughter, Lori, and son, Greg, and his granddaughter Marissa and her husband Matt Sheahan, and great grandchildren, Maddox, Maddyn, and Maverick Sheahan, and George’s sister Jean Phillips. A graveside service will take place on April 30th, 2024, at 2 PM at Saint Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George can be made to Saint Bonaventure Cemetery Fund, 306 Walnut St., Curwensville PA 16833 or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
