Holly Allen

Holly Strohl Allen Age 59, of Wellsburg, N.Y. passed away on January 5, 2022 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, N.Y.. Holly was born on January 17, 1962 in Elmira. She was the daughter of Edward and Waneta Strohl. Holly is predeceased by her father, Ed Strohl and her in-laws, Walter & Connie Allen. Holly is survived by her husband of 30 years, Steve Allen; mother, Waneta Strohl; sister and brother-in-law, Julia & Scott Rummings; brothers-in-law, Brian (Kim) Allen, Harold (Melissa) Allen, and Joe Allen; several nieces, nephews and 2 very close nephews and nieces, Scott (Ariel) Rummings and Sierra (David) Lee; great nieces, Lacey & Harper Lee whom Holly adored. She would travel south several times a year to see them. Holly fought a very long battle with kidney disease. She received a kidney transplant in 1985 which lasted until 1996. Holly has been on dialysis ever since. She was a fighter and always had a positive attitude, was bold and independent of herself. She worked several jobs, but loved to bartend the most. Holly loved being around people, having fun and was known to be the life of the party. She loved watching sports, especially football. Holly was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan and her favorite colors were purple and red. Holly loved warm days in the sun and trips to the beach, where she would sit for hours because it made her very happy. Holly had so many friends. She has touched their lives with memories along her journey of life. Holly maintained her friendship with friends that she grew up with through grade school and high school that she always stayed very close to. Holly was an inspirational role model to all who knew her and a fighting superhero to others. Holly was a Loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be forever missed by those that knew her. The family is planning a celebration of Holly’s life in the summer during a hot, beautiful and sunny day.
