Irvin T. Mower

Mower, Irvin T. Age 81, of Pine Valley and Millport, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Irvin was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mable (Hitchcock Warner) Mower and his sister, Crystal Mower. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bernadette (Norton) Mower; sons, Alfred Mower of Elmira and James (Kiesha) Mower of CO; daughters, Christina Mackey of CO, Sharon (Sonny) White of MO and Julia of Pine Valley; sisters and brothers, Sandra Keyser of TX, Barbara Johnson of Millport, Stephen (Sue) Mower of Elmira, Verne (Mary) Mower of Pine Valley, April (Mike) VanSyckle of CO, Tony (Denise) Mower of Elmira, Karen (Daniel) Morse of Pine Valley and Terri (Joe) Reed of Erin; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Irvin retired from the Laborer’s Local #1358 in Elmira Heights after many dedicated years of service as a laborer. Irv was a hard-working man and was always there helping others and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle to his family and a true friend to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Irv loved to hunt, fish and loved life in general. He was quite the jokester and a trait of his that will be missed by all who knew him. Per Irvin’s request, there will be no funeral service. A memorial service celebrating Irvin’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
