James W. Brown

BROWN, James W. Age 71, of Horseheads, NY passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. James was born on January 10, 1947 in Montour Falls, NY, son of the late Donald and Anna Mae (Rice) Brown. James served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Anchor Glass and was a member of SCCA, Elmira Heights American Legion Post#154 and Horseheads Moose Post# 1476. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jerolyn; son, Thomas ( Samantha Blaine) Brown; grandchildren, Mason and Madison Brown, Raymond, Katrina, Trevor and Alex Carmody; sisters, Mary Ann (Eugene) Hadden, Nancy (Frank) Longwell and Donna (Reynold) Beckman; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, June 19th from 12 to 2 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2pm. Interment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery with full military honors.
