James H. Iii Voorhees

VOORHEES, James Age 54, of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 8, 2018. James was born in Urbana, NY on August 18, 1963 son of James H. Voorhees Jr. and Anna Forrester. Jim served in the US Marine Corps, serving two tours in the Beirut conflict. Jim worked for Cameron Fabrication Mfg. in Horseheads as a project manager since 1997. Jim is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Sandra; daughter, Nicole ( Aaron Lee) Kent; son, Alan “AJ” (Kaitlin) Voorhees; grandson, Jayce Voorhees; brothers, Earnest “Matt” (Tracy) Voorhees and Tony; sisters, Sheila (Leonard) and Rachel; several nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Keith and Linda Spencer. Jim was predeceased by his father, James in 2008. Family and friends are invited to call Monday, March 12th from 3 to 5 PM at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5pm with Pastor David Sullivan officiating. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery with full military honors at the convenience of the family.
