Jane B. Blanchard

Blanchard, Jane B. Age 78, of Elmira, NY passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Jane was born on August 31, 1940 in Williamsport, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Blitz) Poorman. Jane was also predeceased by her grandson, Douglas Blanchard. Jane retired from the Chemung County Nursing Facility after many years of service as a nurses aide. Jane is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald; daughters, Robin (Michael) Lavin and Karen Blanchard; son, Gerald (Caroline) Blanchard; granddaughter, Mary Blanchard; sister, Peggy Vandermark; brothers, Dan and Clyde Poorman. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Jane on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1pm in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
