Jean D. Robinson

Jean Delores (Jackson) Robinson Age 95, of Elmira, NY, passed away on December 30, 2024. Born on June 11, 1929, Jean was originally from Poughkeepsie, NY. She spent the earlier part of her life with family and friends in Poughkeepsie. After marrying, she relocated to Elmira, again surrounded by family and friends. Jean was employed at various companies throughout her life, including Red Cap Dry Cleaners in Poughkeepsie and Rose, Kimball & Baxter Company, and Castle Cleaners in Elmira. Jean was married to Frederick D. Robinson, who predeceased her in 1989. In Elmira, she was also a member of the I.B.P.O.E.W. (Elks), Queen City Temple #146. Jean was predeceased by her siblings, Charlotta Helen (Jackson) Randolph, Fred Jackson, Clinton Jackson, Thomas Jackson, and Herman Carter. She is survived by many nieces and nephews in Elmira, Poughkeepsie, and other locations. There will be no calling hours or visitation. Private services will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been directed by James D. Barrett Funeral Home, Elmira, NY.
