Kelly J. Thompson

Kelly Jo Thompson Age 40, of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on July 8, 2023. Kelly was born in Elmira, NY on March 14, 1983, to the late Frank Thompson and Sandra Fluman Thompson. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Madera of Elmira; daughters, Brittany, and Briannen Thompson of Elmira; her mother, Sandra Fluman Thompson of Elmira; stepchildren, Shaynira Madera of Elmira; and several step grandchildren. Siblings include Lynda Fluman (Ross) with child (Brandon), Lisa Paul with children (Nichole, Kayla), Michelle Burnham with children (Tyler, Kaitlyn), David (Sabrina) Thompson with children (Michaela, Kesley), and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She spent her days caring for her mother as her mother’s health declined(s) and was always bringing home an animal that needed love and affection. Kelly could be a hurricane at times, but loved everyone and was ready to help anyone she could at any time. She lived a short but meaningful life. Kelly will forever be missed, but NEVER forgotten. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday July 17, 2023, from 12-2pm at James D. Barrett Funeral Home, Elmira, NY. There will be a get together at Victor and Kelly’s house following the calling hours.
