Lawrence E. Romen

ROMEN, Lawrence E. Age 75, of Elmira, NY passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Larry was born in Elmira, NY on July 31, 1947 to the late Lawrence and Francesca (Macek) Romen. Larry served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Elmira Correctional Facility after many years of service as a correctional officer. Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He cherished his time fishing and hunting. Lawrence is survived by his beloved sister, Marlene Roman; many cousins and very close friends. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, June 2, 2023 from 3pm to 6pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6pm with Fr. John Desocio officiating. A graveside service with military honors will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11am in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
