Peck, Lenore Pauline
Answered the call of her savior on July 30, 2018 and is now home. Everyone called her “Polly”. She was born in Tyler, PA on March 14, 1924. Polly was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Stashia (Zenoski) Peck and her brother, Clarence Peck Jr. Polly graduated from Elmira Catholic High School and then went on to graduate from Elmira Business Institute. She worked as a legal secretary at Sayles and Evans Law Firm before finishing her career at NYSEG. She was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Church in Elmira. Polly is survived by her sister-in-law, Gertrude Peck; nephew, Michael (Jeanine) Peck; niece, Kathleen (John) Collins; grandniece, Adrianne (Chris) Drake and their daughter Lauren (Mase); grandnephew, Kyle (Kayla) Peck and their daughters Briella and Aurora Peck and grandnephew, Josh Miller. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 2nd from 9:30 to 10:30 at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church with Father Scott Kubinski as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Horseheads Animal Shelter in honor of her great love for cats. The family wants to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the care that was given to her.
