Leslie J. Roy

Roy, Leslie J., 72, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at The Strong Memorial Hospital Rochester, NY after a long battle with cancer. James D. Barrett Funeral Home in Elmira, NY is helping the family with funeral arrangements. In accordance of Leslie’s wishes there will be no memorial services and graveside services will be at the convenience of the family. Leslie was born in Elmira, NY on January 3, 1950 to Edward and Lorraine Callear. She graduated from Horseheads High School, Class of 1968. Leslie worked as a Clerk for Chemung County Department of Motor Vehicles for several years. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and loving on her fur grandbabies. Leslie is survived by her children Cheryl Roy (Anthony Yushinsky) of Wake Forest, NC. and Allen Roy of Horseheads, NY, her brother James (Kay) Callear of Elizabeth, PA, her grandchildren Alexa Roy of Sayre, PA and Kyle Steflik of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews and several friends. Leslie is preceded in death by her brother, Keith Callear and her sister, Connie Wilson.
