Mamie E. Wise

Mamie E. Wise, Age 80, of Elmira, NY went to Heaven on Friday, December 17, 2021. Mamie was born on May 31,1941 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Collin and Mildred (Crance) Campbell. Mamie grew up in Lowman, NY, graduated from Elmira’s Southside High School and attended Nursing School. Mamie then devoted her life to being a loving Mother and Homemaker. Mamie’s greatest joys in life came from loving and supporting her Children and Grandchildren. Mamie loved being near the water and enjoyed many weekends and summers on the St. Lawrence River and most recently time spent at Keuka Lake. Mamie also spent 30 years of her life working for the Chemung County Dept. of Building and Grounds, retiring in 2002. Mamie is survived by her Daughters, Diana (Bruce) Perron of Elmira and Darlene (Gary) McCarty of Corning, NY; Sons, Thomas Wise and Steven (Tricia) Wise both of Elmira; Beloved Grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Drew DiLaura) McCarty, Kyle (Megan) McCarty, Brendan Wise, Gavin Wise, Talon Wise, Madelyn Wise and Logan Perron; Great Granddaughter, Maci McCarty-Hall; Sister, Bonnie Dyer; Brother, Collin Campbell; Brother in Law, James Clearwater Sr.; Dear Friend, Gary Woughter and many cherished Nieces and Nephews. She is predeceased by her Sister, Phyllis Clearwater and Brother, Louis Campbell. Mamie’s family will be planning a celebration of her life at a later date. Arrangements are with James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
