Marta Magera

Magera, Marta Age 92, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Ukraine on April 15, 1929 to the late Michael and Dominica (Stasiv) Hucul. Marta was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Magera. She is survived by her sons, Jaroslaw (Irene), Myroslaw and Bohadan Magera; daughter, Lesia Magera; brother, Wasyl Hucul; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 20th from 9 to 10 a.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral. Panikhyda will be held there at 10 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church with Father Teodor Czabala as Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
