Mary E. Bird

BIRD, Mary E. Age 81, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Mary was born in Elmira on September 19, 1937, daughter of the late George and Mary (Palmer) Deats. Mary was also predeceased by her husband, Ambrose in 1978, grandson, Alan, sisters, Joanne Brusso and Margaret Smith. Mary is survived by her children, Kathy (Murle) Peterson, Mary Anne (Alan) Craley, John Bird and step-son, Joseph Bird; grandchildren, Chris, Mike, and Alana; great grandchildren, Kerry, Mikkayla and Atlanta; sister, Helen Davis and brother, George (Pauline) Deats. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 5th at 10 am in St. Peter & Paul’s’ Cemetery. Arrangements are with the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
