Mary Lou Shutter

Shutter, Mary Lou Age 88, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on October 9, 1932 in Meshoppen, PA to the late Willis and Helen (Gaylord) Peters. Mary Lou was predeceased by her granddaughter, Stacy Titus and brother, W. Neil Peters. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, William Shutter; children, Debra Sherman, George (Becky) Shutter, Michael (Judy) Shutter, Donna (Richard) Wandell and Timothy (Brenda) Shutter; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 24th from 12 to 2 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 2 p.m. with Pastor Justin Coffin officiating. In accordance with state regulations face masks and social distancing are required.
