Matthew Plumley

Plumley, Matthew Born on 7/5/1997 in Elmira, NY and passed unexpectedly on 2/26/2025. He is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Bonnie (Thompson)Plumley; sisters, Melissa Plumley (Art Sawyer), Lori and James Arnold, Julie and Brian Avery and Rachel Plumley (Andrew Inserro); brother, Michael Plumley who he was especially close with; special Friend, Laurie Dunn. He grew up in the same house as his nephews, Andrew DeMellier, Jacob DeMellier and Benjamin Plumley and his niece, Hannah Plumley. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members. Matthew volunteered at his local VFW cleaning , cooking and working at their weekly bingo. Matthew also was a great help to many of his neighbors and friends at the Flannery Towers, where he lived. He would help them clean, walk their dogs, or anything else that someone would need help with. He was an avid football fan and had many favorite teams. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
