Michael L. Applin
Age 78, of Elmira, NY passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Michael was born in Elmira on June 23, 1947, son of the late Leo and Barbara (Early) Applin. Michael honorably served in the United States Navy and retired from Elmira Correctional Facility after many years as correctional officer. He is survived by his children, Shawn and Randy Applin; brother, Christopher Applin; sister, Kathy (Terry) Ridosh; friend and mother of his children, Jean Applin. Michael's request was for no services and his place of rest in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
