Pearl M. Boston

BOSTON, Pearl M. Age 77, of Elmira, NY passed away at Chemung County Nursing Facility on Friday, October 1, 2021. Pearl was born March 17, 1944 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Elmira, NY to the late George and Blanche (McCartney) Boston. She was also predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Jane (Boston) Husted and brother, Kenneth Boston. She is survived by her brother, James Boston with his loving wife, Dorothy who Pearl resided with for the last 22 years. Niece with whom she raised, Belinda Lee with her husband, Robert and their sons, Brandon and Justin Lee who she adored, along with her close niece, Michelle Otero. Several nieces, nephews and Goddaughter, Misty Purdy and her sister, Crystal Purdy. Pearl was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend who lived life to the fullest. Pearl was a Charter Member of the Horseheads Women of the Moose #1832 since 1979 where she had earned her Academy and College Degrees. She enjoyed playing cards, loved her time at the family cottage on Waneta Lake and any occasion spent with loved ones. Family and friends are invited to visit James D. Barrett Funeral Home, 1004 Lake Street Elmira, NY on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 2 pm to 3 pm. Funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Pearl will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A special thank you to Stacy Marley and the 4th floor staff at Chemung Co.
