Phillip Donald Simpson
of Elmira, NY received his wings on December 5, 2020. Phillip was born in Elmira on July 30, 1961. Philip was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Mary (Janine) Simpson. Philip is predeceased by his parents, Pete Fullwood Sr. and Grace (Fullwood) Simpson, siblings, Denise (Blandford- Fullwood) Porter, Carolyn, Richard and Franklin Blandford. Phillip is survived by his wife, Mary; step-mother, Clara Fullwood; his children, Lakeyshia Allen of Buffalo NY and Marissia Simpson of Elmira NY ; four grandchildren; twin brother, Paul Simpson of Atlanta GA; brothers, Pete Fullwood of Rochester, NY, Tony Fullwood of Tampa, FL and Mark (Shawnda) Fullwood of Atlanta GA; sisters, Jean McGee of Buffalo, NY, Lauretta (George) Stowe of Elmira, NY, Mary Helen (Charles) Peters of Big Flats, NY and Megan Owens of PA; step children, Tomesha (Melvin) McKay of Canandaigua, NY, Ebony Crawley, Kiwanis Harris, and Thomas Crawley of Geneva, NY; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Phillip was kind and caring, always willing to help his fellow man. Phillip had a love for cars and could likely put one together from the bottom up with his two hands. He loved music and was a jack of all trades. "A true handyman." He loved to disassemble and reassemble random appliances and other trinkets just for the fun of it. His contagious smile and laughter will truly be missed. A graveside service will take place on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10 am in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are with the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
