Danley, Rachael A.
Age 80, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at home with her family by her side. She was born on January 6, 1941 in Elmira, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Edna Oliver and Nile and Ruth Lewis and son, Jack Danley. Rachael is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Michael Mosher) Danley; grandchildren, Shakea Cintron, Tatai Cintron, Kali Danley and Breana Danley; great-grandchildren, Kevaya Thomas, Noah Reed, Jackson Dailey and Ryin and Brayden. Rachael was a 1959 graduate of the Rochester School for the Deaf. She worked for Eclipse, Cornell University, American LaFrance and then retiring from Kennedy Valve after 39 years of service. Rachael was well known as the “Monkey Lady” and she was very independent, strong and full of life. She was a comedian at heart and was loved by many. Rachael loved bowling and belonged to many of the bowling leagues. A celebration of Life for Rachael will be held in the summer and announced at a later date. A committal service will take place on Monday February 22nd at 1 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, all attendees must wear masks. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
