Robert K. Dildine

age 63, of Horseheads, NY passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Robert was born in Elmira, NY on June 9, 1962, son of the late Albert and Agnes (Buchanan) Dildine. Robert was also predeceased by his sister, Kay, brothers, William and Richard, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Ruth Lambert, brother-in-law, Gary Lambert and sister-in-law, Marty Lambert. Robert was a graduate of Southside Highschool in 1980. He was employed by Pepsi Bottling Group for 21 years. He went on to be became a correctional officer, working for Southport Correctional Facility for 18 years and retired from Elmira Correctional Facility after 2 years of dedicated service. He loved fishing at the river and spending precious hours with his friends, Rick and John. Robert was always known as the life of the party, along with sharing some of his great jokes. But most of all, his grandchildren were the world to him. He will be deeply missed by those that love him. Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicki (Lambert) Dildine; son, Derrik (Kristina) Dildine of Elmira Heights, NY; daughter, Jessica Dildine of Horseheads, NY; special niece, also known as his bonus daughter, Virginia (Steve) Howe and their daughter, Courtney Howe; grandchildren, Londynn Rey Dildine and Braecyn Robert Dildine; sister, Mary (Carl) Slingerland; brother, Michael (Cindy) Dildine; along with several other nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7pm with Deacon Joe Erway officiating. Internment will take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
