Robert L. Sills

Sills, Robert Larry Age 74, flew into heaven on September 10, 2022, while his wife and children were at his side. Robert was born in Elmira, NY on April 26, 1948, son of the late Antoniette and Lyle Sills. Robert leaves on earth his devastated wife of 51 years, Kathy Ann (Holden) Sills; his three children who he loved with all his heart, Robert (Robbie) Sills, Chad Sills, and Margaret (Peggy) Sills-Ryan. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren who brought out the child in him, Imari Johnson, Lillie Moore, Zackary and Ziah Sills, Caleb and Emma Ryan; He was “Papa” to all of them. Robert's siblings, Tony Sills, Jerry and Sue Sills, Jean Sills, Michael and Sherri Sills. Robert will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Karen Richards (Dave Richards) and nieces, Jessica Johnson and Luann Squires; nephews, Dana Squires and Jody Johnson. Robert worked 14 years for Harding Brothers, before starting his own business Twin Tier Video in Big Flats, NY. Robert later bought Elmira Home Theatre in West Elmira, NY. Robert loved to spend time at the beach with his family. He liked hunting, playing video games and watching movies along with forensic files. But his favorite thing to do was spending and cherishing the precious time with his grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday September 19, 2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
