Roger F. Laughlin Sr.

Laughlin, Roger F. Sr. “Buzzy” Age 83, passed quietly at home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was one of 11 children of the late Alexander and Stella (Terwilliger) Laughlin. Roger was predeceased by his son, Douglas W. Laughlin. Roger is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sylvia (Marshall) Laughlin; sons, Roger F. (Robert Bennett) Laughlin Jr., Andrew L. (Sheila) Laughlin, John F. (Nancy Rodriguez-Laughlin) and Chris S. (Dana) Laughlin; daughter, Suzette R. (April Borden) Laughlin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Roger was a machinist at American LaFrance, Shepard Niles and a laborer at Chapel Lumber. He was an avid horseshoe player and competed in several tournaments, he also played in several bands in his earlier years in the Elmira Corning area. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
