Ronald L. Green

GREEN, Ronald L. Age 94, of Elmira, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Corning Hospital in Corning, NY. Ronald was born on March 10, 1924 in Enosburg Falls, VT, son of the late Leonard and Floy (Burbank) Green and recently predeceased by his wife Evelyn on June 10, 2018, after 72 years of marriage. Ronald served our country in the US Army during WWII, receiving the American Service, Asiatic Pacific Service, Good Conduct and the WWII Victory medals. Ronald retired from the American LaFrance in Elmira, NY after many years as a sheet metal worker. Ronald is survived by his daughters, Carolyn (Kevin) Sheridan and Joyce Green; son, Edward Green; grandchildren, Tom and Andrew Green, Robert Emms and Cynthia Klinko; 12 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Ronald on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11a.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ronald can be made to Living Word Evangelical Free Church, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
