Rosemary Misnick

May 8, 1931 — October 29, 2023

Mom did not want to go. She loved being here on earth. Rosemary was surrounded by her family and beloved pets, while taking her final breath on October 29, 2023. She passed away peacefully as our hearts began to sing; for Jesus called mother home and gave her, her wings. Her Parents Cecil and Vonda Davison gave our family a beautiful gift when Rosemary was born on May 8, 1931. Rosemary graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1949 and continued her education at Delhi College and became a dietitian where she gave 35 years of dedication to her patients and co-workers. After graduation her first job was at State Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York. Later retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, New York. Rosemary married her college sweetheart in 1953 Harry J. Misnick. Together they designed and built the family home on Coleman Avenue where they raised three children. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Misnick and her brother, James C. Davison. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Misnick) and Gary Winn of Rochester, New York, MaryLou (Misnick) and Sami Hanna of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Harry (Jack) Misnick Jr. Of Raleigh, North Carolina. Grandchildren Brandon (Chrissy) Winn, Connor Winn, MacKenzie Winn, Nicholas Hanna, Matthew Hanna, Landon Misnick, Morgan Misnick, and Harper Misnick, and great grandchildren Luca Winn and Isabella Winn. Rosemary is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. May God comfort and grace us with precious memories of those loved ones who are no longer with us and treasure those who are still here. Calling Hours will be on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 3pm to 5 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 6th at 11 am with Fr. John Desocio officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
