Sheldon D. Sr. Perry

PERRY, Sheldon D. Sr. Age 72, of Horseheads, NY passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2018 at the Corning Hospital in Corning, NY. Sheldon was born in Granville Summit, PA on August 6, 1945, son of the late Coley R. and Elsie (Pierce) Perry. Sheldon served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for the A&P Plant and the Toshiba Corporation. Sheldon was a member of the Big Flats American Legion Post # 1612 and was a past member of the Tompkins Corners Fire Department. Sheldon was a simple man that could work circles around others and would help anyone that was in need. We lost a wonderful man that will be missed by many. Sheldon is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda; sons, Sheldon (Nikki Preston)Jr., Paul (June) and Greg (Stacey) Perry; grandchildren, Autumn, Aaron, Michael, Briana, Morgan and MacKenzi; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Perry; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 13th from 12 to 2 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Glenwood Cemetery in Troy, PA in the spring with full military honors.
