Shirley A. Kinner

KINNER, Shirley A. Age 75 , of Groton, NY passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Hospice Care Services in Ithaca, NY. Shirley was born on September 22, 1943, in Rochester, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn (Moorhouse) Ross. Shirley was also predeceased by her husband, Alvin in 2007, daughter, Rose Parker in 2018, brother, John Ross and step-father, Ernest Coleman. She is survived by her 11 children, Paula (Sandi) Kinner, Lorraine (Ernie) Bohart, Fred (Donna) Kinner, Alvina (Danny) Smart, Wayne (Carol) Kinner, Debbie (Ron) Lauper, Bruce (Kim) Kinner, Tracey (Bob) Russell, Terry (Patti) Kinner, Shari (Kevin) West, and Shawn Michael Kinner; son-in-law, Ernie Parker; special granddaughter, Melissa (Scott) Seward and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Frank) Farrend, Janice (Robert) Ziobrowski and Patricia Coleman; brother, Charles (Betsy) Ross; many nieces and nephews; Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be truly missed by all. Although she may be gone from this world, her heritage will live on indefinitely with those that dearly loved her. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, October 12, 2018 from 3 to 5 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Shirley to Hospice & Palliative Care Services at 172 East King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
