Trevor J. Backer

Trevor J Backer age 39, passed from this life into eternal life Friday January 10th 2020, to be with his parents John P. Backer & Kim E. Backer, due to a life long illness. He was born on June 12th, 1980 in Elmira, And is predeceased by his grandparents Harry & Mary Backer & maternal grandparents Francis & Shirley Vertoske, aunt Helen Beckman & niece Delanee Becraft. Trevor is survived by his sister Katie Backer (Anthony Joe), niece & nephew Avery & Eastyn Becraft & was excited for his new niece due May 3rd, 2020, as well as several aunts, uncles & cousins. Trevor took a liking to music and enjoyed hockey, golf, NASCAR and baseball. He was employeed prior to his illness at Soaring Eagles golf course in Horseheads, NY. Growing up Trev was an avid Camper and fisherman, hunter & he enjoyed family camping trips. There was a special attachment growing up to his cousin Kevin Beckman who he would always confide in. He will be deeply missed. Services will be private per Trevor’s request. Anyone who remembers him & In lieu of cards or flowers we ask for an unexpected & unsolicited act of kindness for someone in need as Trevor worried a lot about the well being of others or donations to the American Diabetes Association.
