Walter A. Kastenhuber

Kastenhuber, Walter A. Age 73, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Bethany Manor. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Elmira, NY to the late James and Eva (Ochab) Kastenhuber. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Mary Mudge. He is survived by his son, Robert Kastenhuber; self-adopted daughters, Janet Tolbert and Sherry Ram; brothers, James (Mary Ann) Kastenhuber and Michael Kastenhuber; sisters, Frances (Harry) Columbine and Paula (Lyle) Haff; ex-wife, Louise Farnsworth; along with several nieces and nephews. Walter was a diesel mechanic and worked for various local garages. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and playing golf. Walter lived in Colorado for over 10 years and loved the Rocky Mountains. He was an extremely loving uncle and will be dearly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Walter on Saturday, March 31st at 2 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
