Wasyl W. Hucul

HUCUL, Wasyl W. Age 83, of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Wasyl was born in Kalisz, Ukraine on August 11, 1938, son of the late Michael and Dominica (Stafiv) Hucul. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Anna Hobczuk, Naska Kremel and Marta Margera, brother, Iwan Hucul. Wasyl retired from Kennedy Valve after many years as a machinist. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Ettenberger Hucul; daughters, Dora (David) Lewis and April (Jeff) Campbell; son, John Jr.(Samantha) Phipps; grandchildren, Zackery, Larry, Lucus, Alexis and Kendal; great grandchildren, Cooper, Natalie, Sophia, Camila and Isabella. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Divine Liturgy will take place on Friday, May 6th at 10 am in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church with Fr. Teodor Czabala. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
