Willard L. Doyle Sr.

Doyle, Willard L. Sr. “Jack” Age 90, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully in Elmira on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Jack was born in Monterville, W. Virginia on June 28, 1932, son of the late Jesse and Ada (Tumblin) Doyle. Jack married his loving wife, Mary Carmen on February 14th 1953. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict and retired from Millbrook Bread after many years as a mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman, who portrayed the true definition of a W. Virginia Mountaineer. His family was his priority and he enjoyed the special relationship with each of his children and their families. Jack is survived by his children, Carl (Erin) Doyle, Ron (Maris) Doyle, Dave Doyle and Debra Doyle; grandchildren, Melissa, Kirk, Jesse, Emily, Shelly, Carmen, Lyndsay, Gavin and Griffin; great grandchildren, Kara, Caleb, Emma, Weston, Ada, Reese and Ivy; sister, Mary Ann (Larry) Rodgers; brother, Gene Doyle; daughter-in-law, Cindi Doyle. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Carmen Doyle in 1980, son, Willard “Bill” Doyle Jr., great granddaughter, Charlotte, brothers, Hubert, Delbert, Lloyd and Junior. Jack will be laid to rest on Thursday, February 23, with a private family gathering in St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory to Jack can be made out to The American Heart Association, or West Virginia Wildlife Federation.
